Here is Days 11-20 of the 30 Day Affiliate Marketing Blueprint to help you manage the various tasks that it takes to become an affiliate marketer.
These tasks will help you build a successful and profitable online affiliate marketing business.
đ Day 11: Start Accepting Sign Ups
You canât finalize the list building process until you have the technical ability to accept sign ups.Â
Choose an email autoresponder and set up your list there.Â
Spend a day getting familiar with how to use their system.
Most autoresponders have helpful tutorials walking you through how to use their system, so you can hit the ground running.Â
Check out Resource #3 on my Recommended Resources page because that platform already includes an email marketing system that includes an autoresponder.
đ Day 12: Set Up Your Follow Up Email
When someone signs up to your email list, they will be sent their welcome email, which is in your follow up system.Â
This is something every new subscriber gets, and you want to include the link to your free gift in this email.
But from this point on, you can either drip out more follow up emails that every new subscriber gets (perfect for an evergreen niche)
You can also just email out broadcast emails on an on-going basis to the people that are already on your list.Â
It all depends on how you want the communication to unfold.
If you want a hands off approach, then set-up an automatic email series via the autoresponder.
Or if you want to be actively involved and on top of the latest trends and fads in your niche, then send your list daily or weekly broadcast emails.Â
Check out Resource #3 on my Recommended Resources page because that platform already includes an email marketing system that includes an autoresponder and a broadcast feature.
đ Day 13: Get Your Forms Installed
You might have more than one form you want to use on your website to get people to opt-in to your email list.
You can have an opt-in form for your lead magnet page.
You can have another one for your blogs sidebar.
You can also have one for the space directly below your blog posts or in the footer area of your website..Â
Go through the form creation process and get everything installed where it needs to be before testing each one out to ensure it works.
Check out Resource #3 on my Recommended Resources page because that platform already includes an email marketing system that includes opt-in forms.
đ Day 14: Brainstorm Obstacles for Your Niche
You need to figure out what issues people in your audience are struggling with and need a solution for or more information.
Some people struggle with something, but arenât really sure where theyâre going wrong.Â
For instance, if youâre in the weight loss niche or fitness nicheâŠthey already know they arenât losing weight, but they may not know itâs because theyâre calculating their macros improperly.
You are already aware that people in your audience are emotional about certain issues and have expressed a need for a solution.
You can also look at other areas where you know there may be a problem for people in your niche..Â
For example, not having the right tools or time or money, or seeing people being misguided by other niche leaders.Â
There can be all kinds of issues and itâs a good idea to make note of them.
đ Day 15: Create Solution Ideas
You now have lists of emotional and technical problems your readers might come up against.Â
What you need to do now is figure out how youâre going to guide people to a solution that will work best for them.Â
Itâs good to come up with several ideas in one sitting, so that you have plenty of idea to work with.
You can list a problem, such as not having time to fix healthy meals, and then match it with solutions you can present as product reviews, such as meal prep containers, courses on quick and easy cooking, and so on.Â
Figure out what your audience could use to help solve their problems.
đ Day 16: Start Putting Up Content for Affiliate Approval
Before you apply to various affiliate programs, you want to begin putting up content that shows you are an active contributor to your niche.Â
This content will be informative and educational, inspiring and motivating.Â
It can be articles on your website, blog posts, social media posts, videos, podcasts, etc.
The goal is to let vendors and companies see your worth and value when theyâre deciding whether or not to give their approval.Â
Many companies will decline applicants who have little to no content online, or content thatâs low quality.Â
You have a few ways to publish content.Â
You can write it yourself, hire a ghostwriter to do it for you, or purchase private label rights, which is pre-written content that multiple buyers can use as their own.
đ Day 17: Start Applying for Affiliate Links
Once your website or blog and even your social media or your video channel is filled with good content, begin the application process so that you can get approved as an affiliate and post product reviews with your links.Â
The approval process can vary from instant approval to several days, so be prepared to wait in some cases.
Once you get approved, make sure you abide by all of the vendor or companyâs rules for promoting their products.Â
For example, some digital vendors have rules in place about not using negative language to get clicks on your links, or misleading promotions, etc.Â
đ Day 18: Study Different Ways to Create Reviews
Writing your product reviews can get boring after a while, unless you know how to approach it in different ways.Â
You donât always have to write a post about just one product.
There are many ways to slant it, such as a top 10 list, pros and cons, unboxing videos, case studies, and even just putting two products up against each other and comparing the two.Â
Go to other product review sites just to get a feel for the different ways they can unfold for your audience.Â
You never want to outright copy someone elseâs style, but educate yourself about the process of sharing information and recommending products and services.
đ Day 19: Make a Product Review Template
You donât have to create a template, but this is something that will help you quickly create your product reviews.
A template also helps your loyal readers know what to expect each time they read a new review from you.
You might do something where you present the problem first, then give a product summary, followed by intricate product details and features, then a list of usage tips, and ending with any drawbacks and fixes for them.Â
After a while, you wonât even need to refer to your template because you will be so used to presenting your reviews a certain way and you will also get faster at creating content.
đ Day 20: Create a Product Review
Pick a method or slant that you want to use and choose a product (or products) to review.Â
You want to do your best job at this so that your reviews will be trusted by your audience.
Set the bar for what you expect from yourself and what your audience expects from you.
Be thorough, interesting, and transparent in your reviews.
Treat it the same way youâd want someone else to be if you were using their review as a purchasing guide for yourself.Â
If you need to, you can outsource the review to a ghostwriter, but be specific about how you want the review to unfold.

My Online Journey

You donât know me.
Iâm not some flashy internet marketing âguruâ with my name and face all over the internet.
Iâm just an ordinary person that had to figure out a way to make money online when I lost my job in 2008, due to health issues.
In the offline world, I gained several years experience in Customer Service, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable and various other clerical type positions.
Much of it was drudgery, especially working in call centers.
I was good at my various jobs, but I did not enjoy being hostage to a cubicle and headset..lol đ
But, you do what soul sucking jobs you have to do, in order to make money to pay the bills.
As a free spirit, I always had the deep desire to break free from the cubicle-zombie-robot rat race world and have full control over my time, income and life, without having to have permission from a boss.
I was tired of being just another ânumberâ that was expendable, no matter how dependable I was or how hard I worked (just to help build someone elseâs wealth and make their dreams come true).
I wanted to create MY freedomâŠnot just build it for someone else.
Unexpectedly in 2008, severe neck issues forced me out of the 9 to 5 corporate world rat race (before I was actually ready financially, which really sucked a lot and was pretty scary).
My neck issues got worse after years of being trapped at a computer, with little to no permission to get up and move around and stretch.Â
This is not good when you are suffering from old car accident injuries.
This was especially the case in call center jobs with low cubicle walls. They didnât want you standing up, due to the noise while on calls.
And although losing my job and the paycheck was a less than pleasant experience, my goal was to be an online entrepreneur anyway.
But, I was forced to make it happen at that pointâŠwhich was not ideal.
Wasted Time Dabbling

Itâs better to have a 2nd income already coming in regularly before losing your main source of income, but I had no control over what happened.
I had already been âdabblingâ in internet marketing, on the side, since 2004âŠbasically wasting time.
I treated it as a hobby, instead of an online business.
I actually made a little bit of money with affiliate commissions and some advertising revenue, but it was nothing to write home about because I did not build it up.Â
If I had realized that my health was going to go sideways so badly in 2008, then I wouldâve taken my online business âside gigâ much more seriously.
I wouldâve hustled, even while still working a full-time job, because 4 years wouldâve been more than enough time to have built that online business into a full-time income.
Just an extra 1 hour per day consistently over that 4 year periodâŠwould have made all the difference.
So, after I lost my job in 2008, I was in a real bind for more than one reason.
I needed to get serious and stop dabbling and start hustling to make money online, but it takes time to build an online business that brings in consistent income.
I was out of time. My household went from two incomes to one and I needed to get moving.
The problem was my severe neck issues and the accompanying dizziness from nerve damage in my C1 Vertebrae, the Atlas.Â
So, this meant that I couldnât exactly hustle like I needed to because being on a computer for hours each day at home is no different than doing it at a job.
I was no longer able to do this, if I wanted to not end up completely disabled or bed-ridden.
The years 2008-2011 were extremely tough in trying to heal, but with proper therapy, the worst of it got better, but itâs not 100%.
Even now in 2022, I still can only be on a computer so much each day, without causing flare-ups.
So again, if I had taken it all more seriously, then I wouldnât have ended up with so many financial worries, when I lost my job.
I wouldâve had something more substantial to fall back on during times that were difficult money-wise and health-wise.
Then, add in beating my head against the wall, jumping from one âprogramâ to another and basically flushing more time and money down the toilet.
Losing my job made me act in desperation because I wanted to make something happen right now.
So, I ended up doing what a lot of people do, which is looking for a shortcut and something âquickâ or âpush buttonââŠwhich is not realistic because it doesnât really exist.
Then in 2012, I joined Wealthy Affiliate because it had the tools and resources I needed all in one place, to help me build an online business.
Fast forward to 2020, I joined The Home Business Academy to add even more great tools and resources to my online business arsenal.Â
I now use both of these resources to build my online business.
I talk more about this over on my Recommended Resources page listed under Resources #1 and #2.
I enjoy making money online because I can work from anywhere and on my own schedule, while still being able to take care of my health.
You Can Do It Too

So, why do I tell you all of this?
I share all of this with you, so youâll know itâs possible to make money online and have total freedom from the 9-5 grind.
It takes time to build an online business, but itâs worth it to build either a side-income to supplement your full-time job or replace your job.
If you have found yourself in a similar situation to me or you simply want to get ahead of things and plan for the future, your goal going forward should be to not waste any more time.
Whether you love your job or hate your job, itâs always a good idea to have a Plan B to supplement your income or replace your income.
You never know what can happen with your job or even with your health.
Donât waste time, like I did.
Just get started and keep going.
Do not dabble.
Take action now.
And most importantly, believe in yourself.
You can do it!
