Are you looking for the best place to buy solo ads? Check out this great resource called Udimi.
You may have seen the name Udimi during your online business travels and you might be wondering “What is Udimi.com”? The answer to that is… It’s the best place to buy solo ads in order to advertise your offers.
As you probably already know, paid advertising, including buying solo ads, is a quick way to get a lot of people to whatever offer you are promoting.
It’s an easy way to bypass the search engines and get right to the audience your are trying to reach.
This post is a bit long, so I encourage you to Bookmark This Page, so you are able to come back to it later, in case you don’t have time to get through it all now.
Just FYI: I’m both a customer and an affiliate of the resource in this post (see my Affiliate Disclosure)
What is Udimi Solo Ads Exactly?
Udimi is a closed community of solo ad buyers and solo ad providers.
In other words, Udimi solo ads is a managed advertising marketplace that connects marketers and ID-verified sellers. They guarantee a fair deal between both parties, and most importantly they provide protection against fraud and spam.
This is very important. If you have had any experience purchasing advertising online, especially solo ad advertising…then you know what a landmine it can be and how easy it is to lose your money, due to unscrupulous solo ad vendors.
I decided to finally write a Udimi solo ads review because I’ve been using this marketplace since January 2018 and feel like it’s a good resource to share with others. After using them for over 2.5 years, I feel comfortable writing a post about this resource.
I was aware from the beginning that Udimi has their own internal affiliate program (more on the affiliate program further below), but I’m just now participating in that part of the marketplace. I figured after placing 80+ solo ads at Udimi, it was time to start promoting it myself.
I tend to do this anyway….I will use a resource for quite a while and then share that resource after I’m completely comfortable with promoting it to other people.
Don’t Break the Bank
There are some things that I want to make clear to you is that even though Udimi is a safe marketplace to get targeted solo ads….do not buy solo ads unless you have the budget to do so or cannot afford to spend money at all on paid advertising.
I know this sounds like common sense, but it can be really easy to whip out the credit card and go crazy, especially when you get all excited seeing opt-ins coming into your offers.
The sellers on Udimi have great prices and a lot of the sellers are very generous with over-delivery, but you still need to monitor what you are spending.
Btw…what do I mean by over-delivery? Yes, this is solo ad world lingo…lol
This means if you order 100 clicks to your offers, then they may add some additional clicks to your order at no extra charge.
It’s a perk and the sellers are not required to do this, but most of the sellers that I have dealt with have always given me extra clicks.
Things to Keep in Mind
Of course, you can take my advice or leave my advice and do what you want, but as someone with 80+ orders on Udimi…you may want to consider what I have to say.
The very First thing you should do after you sign up (which is free to do) is immediately get familiar with the entire platform.
This is the same advice I also give when inviting people to the online business community that I’ve been a member of since 2012.
Click on every tab and read everything on the Udimi website.
You especially want to read everything in the Help section before you do anything. There is not an overwhelming amount of information and is laid out pretty well.
Once you do that, you will be very familiar with how to place your solo ads.
It’s not difficult and the website is very user friendly, but you definitely want to take your time and do it right. If you’re going to spend money on advertising, then it’s in your best interest to learn all you can so that you don’t waste your money.
Research the Sellers
The next thing you want to do is research.
Look at the different sellers in the Udimi marketplace.
Check out not just their prices, but look at their bios and FAQ’s.
A lot of them will explain more about their offerings, etc. Read the reviews that previous customers have left for them. Only people that have placed orders can leave reviews, so all reviews are legitimate. No fake reviews.
Start Small and Test
The next piece of advice is to start small.
It can be both overwhelming and exciting to get your offers advertised to visitors quickly, but remember you are spending money and you want to pick a seller and order a small amount of clicks.
I think the minimum for most sellers is 50 to 100 clicks.
Start with the minimum.
The reason that I advise you to do this is because every seller has their own unique mailing list and you want to be sure that your offer is going to do well with their list.
Now, no one has a crystal ball and no one can ever guarantee your results, but don’t jump in and purchase 500 or 1000 clicks blindly, without testing whether your offer or landing page is even going to get opt-ins.
Trust me….I made every mistake in the book when I joined in January 2018 and I wasted a lot of money because I just dove in without doing my due diligence.
A small test will determine whether your offer resonates with that seller’s list or if you need to find another seller.
Connect with the Seller
Another tip is to communicate with the solo ad seller.
Udimi at least makes it easy to connect you with sellers and most sellers are very good at answering inquiries.
There is an internal messaging system within Udimi and what you can do is simply send a message to whatever seller that you are considering placing an order with and send them your URL for you offer.
Tell them you are interested in placing an order through them and ask them if they would be willing to check out your offer first, before you place and order and let you know if they think it will be a good fit for their list.
Now, you’re probably wondering to yourself….yeah that sounds good, but the sellers are in the business to make money…so WHY would they turn down your business?
The answer to that is because they value their reputation more than trying to make a quick buck off of you.
I have experienced this myself and have had sellers give me an honest assessment that an offer might not do well with their particular list. Or that my offer looks great, but might still only get a few opt-ins and give me the option to take a chance with their list or not.
The sellers will still preview the offer anyway before fully accepting your order, but if you want to avoid ordering first and later being rejected, then just send them a message asking them if they would be willing to review your offer before you place your order.
In fact, I had a seller turn down my order after placing it. This was when I was brand new and had not thought to ask ahead of time. I just assumed they accepted any orders they received…lol. I was initially so shocked that they didn’t want the money, but later I understood why a seller would do this.
I only had that happen once. It was not because my offer was bad or anything because I don’t promote crap, but that particular seller just didn’t think it was a good fit at all for their list and that’s fine. It’s ultimately their decision what they allow advertised to their list.
Good solo ad providers will do this anyway because they want to protect their list and they want to protect their own reputation on Udimi. It does not pay for them to take your order and then have you upset because you didn’t receive any opt-ins and then you give them a bad rating.
Keep Testing and Then Scale Up
Keep in mind, some offers do better than others in general and again it varies depending on that seller’s list.
Sometimes, just the landing page needs to be changed or maybe the offer itself is not a good fit at all.
This is why it’s a good idea to test various sellers as well. Again, with small orders.
Then when you find a good match with one or several solo ad sellers, then you can scale up.
Safe Marketplace to Do Business
Udimi verifies the identities of the sellers that they allow into the marketplace.
They vet those sellers to make sure that they aren’t crooks and verify that they are who they say they are. They are actually getting better and better at this over the years and have gotten really good at keeping the marketplace clean.
Udimi’s reputation is also on the line and they aren’t going to risk their business by allowing fraud. It makes sense because how long would they last online if they allowed their buyers to be scammed. No one would order from Udimi anymore and they would cease to exist.
There is a section on the Help area under the Info button titled “How Scams Sell You Fake Clicks Based On Real Story” where they explain all the various tricks that fraudulent solo ad sellers will use to steal your money.
It is pretty detailed and really shows that they are actually very aware of all of the various scam techniques and are on the ball as far as keeping bad people out and at the very least catching them and removing them very quickly.
Optional Affiliate Program
I wish that I would have recommended Udimi sooner because they have a nice internal affiliate program, with excellent tracking. They only pay 15% commissions, but those are recurring lifetime commissions on every order someone places.
This can really add up over time, especially since many solo ad buyers are often repeat buyers.
There are 2 ways that they pay out with their affiliate program. You can cash out or you can leave the funds in there to pay for your own solo ads.
So, in essence, if I had promoted them sooner, then I could have essentially paid for my solo ads with those earnings.
I know of a 6-figure online marketer that does exactly that. They take their earnings and pour it right back into their own advertising. It pays for itself.
So, keep that in mind if you decide to join and place orders for solo ads. They have an affiliate program that is free to participate in and it can help pay for your advertising, when you recommend the service to others and they purchase solo ads themselves.
Of course, the affiliate program is completely optional.
There Are No Guarantees
I have a lot of experience with promoting various offers on the Udimi platform and have learned a lot of things the hard way.
Again, solo ads are an easy way to get traffic to your offers.
As you know, the more eyeballs you get the more chances you will get opt-ins and sales.
But, with that said, there are no guarantees with solo ad advertising….just like there are no guarantees with any other forms of paid advertising, such as PPC, etc.
Paid advertising is just a quicker way to get eyeballs to your offers. That’s all.
This is why I have used this method because I cannot always work on this website writing posts, due to severe neck issues and dizziness.
So, buying solo ads has been an alternative way for me to keep momentum going in my online business.
I have had both success and failure, but the failures were mostly due to my own ignorance and not understanding this form of advertising and jumping in headfirst because I was impatient.
So, be diligent and be cautious when spending money to advertise.
Research, test, keep testing and then scale up.
Solo ads can work and have worked for many people, but you have to know what you’re doing.
Again, you are not required to take any of my advice, but I want to make sure you have the best experience possible and get the most out of your purchase.
So, that’s pretty much it in a nutshell.
I’m not going to explain every nuance of the Udimi website or explain all the in and outs or the How To’s because all of that is already in detail in the Help section under the Buyer section labeled:.
- How to Buy Solo Ad
- Ordered. What’s Next?
- Order Accepted
- Solo Delivered. Statistics
- Order Rejected
- Rate Your Seller
- If You Got a Problem
- How to Change Link
- How Udimi Protect You
- How Udimi Filter Works
Then there are some great sections in the Help section under the Info section labeled:
- 5 Reasons to Communicate Inside Udimi
- Popular Scam Technologies
- Udimi Terms of Service
- Delivery Terms of Service
- And various other how to’s
Again, Udimi is free to join and check out for yourself.
FYI: After you join, you will receive an automated Welcome message from me, within your Udimi Messages.
In that message, I mention that you will have received a discount code upon joining, that you can use on your first order. This discount is time-sensitive and has an expiration date. So, you’ll want to look out for that upon joining.
